According to a recent report from research firm Maplecroft, 31 percent of the world's economic output will be based in countries deemed at "extreme risk" from climate change by 2025. According to Maplecroft's Climate Change Vulnerability Index (CCVI), 67 countries with an estimated $44 trillion of combined economoic output "will come under increasing threat from the physical impacts of more frequent and extreme climate-related events, such as severe storms, flooding or drought."
